A matrix<\/strong> is a rectangular arrangement of numbers into rows and columns. Each number in a matrix is referred to as a matrix element<\/strong> or entry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The dimensions<\/strong> of a matrix give the number of rows and columns of the matrix in that order<\/em>. Since matrix AA<\/em>A has 222 rows and 333 columns, it is called a 2\\times 32\u00d732, times, 3 matrix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
